What was I supposed to accomplish and how? In this lesson I was to adapt a lesson plan and include in it a glog-making assignment. Also, I was to create a glog myself.
What did I learn (growth/progress)? This lesson was another huge learning experience for me. I had never heard of a glog before, so firstly, I learned what a glog is. I learned a tremendous number of things in the process of creating my glog, such as potential uses for a glog, possible pitfalls for students, how to transfer data between various programs, and how to use Garage Band.
What should I have done differently? I should have asked for help sooner when I encounter difficulties with my audio component. I burned up precious days trying to figure it out on my own.
Why is this artifact important to my targeted career? This is an amazing tool for communication with students and staff. It is a great learning tool to use with students - to assign to them. The glog tool is applicable to any subject area or purpose. Students will learn a tremendous number of things - content and technological skills - in creating their own glogs. Also, glogs are just a fun way to learn. I will definitely be using glogs beginning immediately.
